The Spider

We have been reading a poem called "The Spider".

The spider climbed into my shoe
to escape the bright sunlight.
I put my foot into my shoe
and got a dreadful fright,
to see the eight long legs inside
where he was trying to hide.
"Spider, spider!" I loudly cried
"Get out of there, I say,
You cannot sleep inside my shoe,
I need to go and play!"
