CARROT CAKE

OUR AMAZING CARROT CAKE DAY!

"Look at this big carrot", said Lose. It's enormous!

"What about my one", said Chrystallani.

"Mine too. I dug out this huge carrot," said Hope.

We all were so surprised to see the carrots from our garden had grown so big. They were humongous!!

Now we had to grate the carrots for the cake.

  And grate some more................

The recipe says 3 cups of grated carrot!
Is this enough now?

Now the flour is added to the mixture.

We had to beat the mixture again and again with a very big electric beater. It went round and round, making a very big whirring noise! It made so much noise that it hurt our ears!!

Into the cake tin the mixture goes!

Cooking in the oven!

Our cakes are finally cooked!! They are very hot and smell absolutely delicious!

We made icing for our cakes.
We tasted the icing and it was so, so yummy!!

"Mmmmm", this is so, so delicious," said Lose.

"I love this cake. It is so tasty and you can't even see the carrots in the cake,"said Naomi.
"Where are the carrots Miss?" said Chrystallani.

WATCH WHAT HAPPENS! WE DID!

THE DAY WE MADE SILVER BEET QUICHE

OUT TO THE GARDEN WE GO!

We are all looking for the silverbeet leaves to cut from the garden.

"Is this enough silverbeet Miss?" asked Sesimani.
The pot is full!

" I am washing the silverbeet", said Chrystallani.

"It has to be clean. We don't want any worms", said Solomon.

We have to cook our silverbeet in the pot to get it ready for our quiche. It is heating up on the element from the oven.

" I am grating the cheese", said Pauliasi. It is such hard work!

"I am cracking open the egg to go into the quiche", said Chrystallani.

"Each of us had a turn to mix all of the ingredients for our quiche. We all stirred the mixture in a big bowl with a wooden spoon. The bowl was plastic and orange", said Everley.

Our two quiches are cooking in the oven! They look amazing!!

Can't wait to taste them!!

EAT!      EAT!       EAT!

"This is so so delicious!" said Naomi.

"I like my quiche", said Isitolo. It is so yummy and tasty.

 "Scrumptious!" said Hope.
